August 7th 2021 ABAO members' meeting

The board of Asian Business Association of Ohio (ABAO) had a meeting on August 7, 2021. Among many things, the board members and officers discussed:

  • Further define the purpose (s) of ABAO to be education and networking;
  • Differentiate BABO from other business leagues;
  • Continue current monthly zoom seminar;
  • Improve website content and functionality such as online registration of seminars;
  • Recruit members and volunteers;
  • Membership due in 2022 be $35;
  • The next board meeting to be in early December.
The meeting concluded around 2:30 pm. It was held at 600 E. Granger Road, Brooklyn Heights.

May 28th, 2021 Zoom Seminar – Real Estate Law

Asian Business Association of Ohio hosted its first zoom seminar on May 28th, 2021. This was a joint effort with Cleveland Chinese Women Association. The seminar will cover Ohio Landlord/tenant law, commercial leasing, and several related topics. Speaker Ms. Lei Jiang is an attorney specializing in business law, real estate, and litigation. ABAO aims to provide high quality, current, and business specific seminars to its members. Education, Collaboration, and Support are benefits that ABAO want to provide to the members.

April 11th, 2021 Board and Officer Meeting

Current Board members and officers gathered on April 11th, 2021 at Lei’s office in Westlake. For those of us who attended meeting in person, we kept social distance. We discussed a range of matters such as ABAO Funding, the services that ABAO may provide to its members, activities for 2021 and collaboration with government agencies and other organizations. Ms. Jing Zhang, ABAO’s VP/CFO went over the budget with board members and officers. The meeting concluded successfully after two hours discussion.
